How Was This Website Made?

In order to document any projects/ developments in my education for information technology, I made a website in April of 2023. I rebought the domain and started again in October 2024. Here is how you can make your own secure website with your own specified domain.

Step 1.) Log into your EC2 console in AWS, and click the launch instance button

Step 2.) Make sure you are in the correct region in the upper right corner

Step 3.) Name your server

Step 4.) Click browse more AMIs and search WordPress

Step 5.) Use Bitnami & Automatic

Step 6.) Use t.2 micro

Step 7.) create a new key pair and name it, click create

Step 8.) use 1×30 GiB gp2 Root Volume

Step 9.) Launch Instance 

Step 10.) To log into WordPress do your EC2 instance IP/wp-admin

Step 11.) Log in info will be in the System log, at the top right of the EC2 console there will be a white erectable that says actions click it and go to monitor and troubleshoot, and get system log.

Part 2 Get a SSH certificate for the site

I used cloud flare, so they automatically use SSL/ TSL encryption. I also added the public IP of the websites EC2 instance as root to the DNS record.
